A bit about puff daddy...

Hi my lovelies

This is not about the rapper puff daddy but about these...

I love them!

They are from Christian Meinderstsma but they might be out of a lot of people's price range so Pickles has made one herself and allows people to use the pattern.

http://www.pickles.no/puff-daddy-knitted-stool/

I am thinking of doing one when we move house they would work so well as a comfy foot stool or as a work of art if you stack them on top of each other.

Hope you enjoyed reading : )

A bit about knitting a snood...

Hi my lovelies

I have finished my snood!

And here it is....

The pattern goes as follows
I used size 6 1/2 mm needles with the thickest wool I could fine. The colour is a light cream but you could do it in any colour you want.

~Step 1 ~
Cast on 90 stitches (I worked length ways)
~Step 2 ~
Work 2 Knit, 2 purl for 3.5"
~Step 3 ~
Work garter stitch for 10 rows
~Step 4 ~
Work 2 knit, 2 purl for 3.5"
~Step 5 ~
Cast off
~Step 6 ~
Sew up the middle and attach whatever buttons you fancy
DONE!

Here are a few pictures...

The only thing I would possibly change, if I had to change something, would be the width I think it would be worth it to make it bigger, like 100 or 110 stitches but its up to you.

Hope you like it : )

Any questions I will try and answer

Autumn Weekend...

Hi my lovelies

Hope your all had a nice weekend!
Just thought I would share a few pictures from my autumn weekend. My extended family came down from Wales so all in all it was a really nice weekend.

As you can see from the picture above Adam (my fiancee) was having a game of tug of war with millie and  her toy rat (aptly named Ratty), don't worry for the people out there who think ew! he has a dogs toy in his mouth, it was a new toy and no doggy germs were on it when he placed it in his mouth.

We have a small farm at the top of our garden and this little fellow is one of animals, he hasn't got a name so any good names, leave in the comments!

Millie likes to sit on the bench with her new toy : )

Dad, dog and new toy

Hope you enjoyed reading : )

Coming Soon...

Hi my Lovelies

Just a quick note to say a knitting project will be coming soon.
I think a winter snood is in order as the weather in Yorkshire is starting to get a bit nippy

A bit about pets...

Hi my lovelies

I thought today I would tell you about my pets : )
We do have a dog but she is more of a family pet as she lives with my mum and dad. As you can see from the picture below she is a cutie. My mum and dad got her when a woman at my mums work didn't want her any more so she just gave her to us.

She was treated badly before and it took all the family a long time for her to trust us. She is still nervous around strangers but she gets better all the time : )

I know a lot of people will say their pets have a personality but millie is something all together she has got such a character and in the coming months I will try and upload images of what she gets up to cause some of it is just unbelievable.

A bit about me...

Just thought I should tell people a bit about myself : )

My name is Amy and I live in Yorkshire in the UK, I live with my fiancée and his cat but we will get to them later on.

To get things started I will say that I love crafting and making things, I like experimenting with fashion and hairstyles (to a certain degree), just learnt how to knit, I also like food, especially chocolate, and to say I am a chocoholic is a HUGE understatement, I am getting married next year to my amazing fiancée and for the wedding I am creating a lot of the stationary, favours, centre pieces etc. I love relaxing with a good book and can spend hours just sitting in the sun reading : ), I love dogs and have a black Labrador retriever as our family pet.

I graduated university in May with a degree in ICT and now have a grown up job with responsibilities and everything. One of the reasons I started this blog is to help me deal with my job and sometimes everyday life as I suffer from panic and anxiety.

I love my family and especially my fiancée cause if it wasn't for him I would have been lost years ago.
Hope you enjoyed reading and it gave you an insight into what type of person I am
